wait, its getting warmer. Just a bit but its still warmer.

They're back. They're asking me to come with them. Where? It's not like there's anywhere I can go. The snow is now blocking the windows and that THING can get anywhere in the house.

They're saying they know another way out. A way to a court, where everyone is just and the THING can never go.

...

I'm doing it.

I can hardly stay awake right now. The constant nighttime visits are taking their toll or something. I dont dare fall asleep now, though. That THING might come back,.. i dont think i can even hurt it. its crazy fast and strong and scary.

so cold

It's gone, thank god it's gone. I have a huge cut up my arm now.

Josh and co. vanished just before it appeared. I wonder where they went. Hell, I wonder where everyone else went. There should be more people around.

Except for the fucking blizzard. Phone is down, but internet is up. How does that work?

Fuck. It's in the house again. That THING is back. I've got a blunt object or two in here, so hopefully I can do something to it.
Did I sleep through the whole day? It's even colder now. Thermometer says it's getting down into the teens (Fahrenheit). I tried restarting the furnace, but no dice. The snow is now up to five feet and completely blocking the door.

Shit.

His friend is starting to creep me out. He keeps staring off into space, muttering nursery rhymes under his breath. I asked them to stop, and both of them looked at me as if I was a heretic or something.

Whatever. I might try to sleep, but with it being this cold, it might be a better idea to stay awake.

Josh is starting to look worse, and it's getting cold in here. I grabbed a bunch of blankets and stuff, but I don't think it's helping.
They're back. I have no idea where they were, but Josh looks pale. First time I've seen him show any emotion at all to what's been going on.
I hear scratching in the walls. I'm staying in this room, thank you very much.
There's been a blizzard outside. The door out is stuck. Josh and co. are nowhere to be seen.
Wait, did I fall asleep? How did I manage that? I'm going to go check out what's going on.

It was a diversion, I think. The thing came out of the closet as they left. It just stared for awhile, then snickered at me and walked right past, heading into the hallway after them.
The doorknob started turning, very faintly, and the door just sort of slid open, but nobody is there. The hallway is empty, but the door opened. Why is this freaky compared to the other things we've seen?

And they're going to go check it out. Suicidal bastards.

Looking out

It seems to have gotten a little bit quieter... I'm scared. Josh and his friend are just staring at the door. This is freaky.

Better now

I think I'm doing better now, I think. We checked around a little bit, but couldn't find the THING anywhere. Cousin's friend wouldn't even help searching. He regurgitated some rhyme about searching forever, but I can't remember it.

My cousin said that his friend can protect us from the THING, but I'm not buying it.

No way

I refuse to believe it its not happening. they asked to stay in my room, so I aksed "is it so I can protect you from the monster?" and they were like: " no so we can protect uyo."

I shrugged it off and went to sleep and then was woekn by the cold, then I noteced this THING sitting on my fucking chest whispering into my ear. it had claws that were THREE FUCKING FEET LONG. I can only recall a little bit of what it said, but it sounded somethin glike "██████ ██ ██████ ████ ████████ ████ █ ███ █████ █ ██████ ██ ████ █████." then my cousins friend stood up and just stared at the thing, and it stared right back. it wasn't a scared stare, or a mean stare on either side, but more of a "what the hell are you doing here get out" kind of stare. both of them just did that for awhile, then the thing with the fucking claws just turned and went into the closet and shut the door behind it. when we opened it, the thing was gone.

tell me I'm not insane.

Okay...

So apparently my cousin wants his friend to sleep over tonight, to protect him from the monster in the closet.

...

You know, I thought most kids got over that quick. But whatever, I'll let it slide.

I don't think I've seen this before

I've been studying for the ACT and stuff, so I've been a bit busy. However, I try to spend as much time with Josh as I can (my cousin. I don't think I've mentioned his name before).

Problem is, he doesn't want to spend time with anyone. The only time he does is when he invites his friend over and they read poetry to each other. I'm fairly sure I've heard a couple of old school nursery rhymes in there, though. Do kids even learn those anymore?
